I was brought to canyons by a friend on Friday. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I would bring my wife on Valentine?s Day so I made a reservation the next day. I got a call the following Sunday from a girl that explained to me that they had decidedto have a Valentine?s Day special. And that if I wanted to eat there on Valentines I had to go off of their Valentines menu. Isaid that?s not a problem what is on the menu. She explained to me the menu and then told me what the price was going to be.$225. I said does that come with any drinks she said no I said that sounds like you raise the price substantially from theregular menu she told me hold on and put me on hold. A man came on and said his name was David and asked what I needed. I said Iwas talking to a girl that was explaining the Valentine?s Day menu. I explained that I had made a reservation and there wasn?tany notice about any valentines menu and that the prices seem substantially higher for that day. I said it didn?t seem fair thatyou took my reservation and then after the fact tell me how much I have to spend. He said it was Valentines and everything costsmore and that if I didn?t like it he would have no problem at all filling every seat in the restaurant. He was very rude so Icanceled my reservation and will take my wife somewhere else for Valentines . As a business owner myself I have never made anegative review. I feel like the restaurant business is a very tough business and it?s hard to make people happy. But this hasnothing to do with food or service this has to do with poor management and a rude manager at that.
My husband and I often eat out and love fine dining restaurants. Our overall experience here was great. Customer service: We enjoyed the customer service. David, the manager, was super attentive towards the costumers. Alex, our waiter, made sureeverything was to our liking. They checked in with us but not so much where it would be obnoxious! Couldn 't have asked forbetter service. Food: I had the Lamb and it was perfectly delicious. The other members of our dining party had the sea bass,salmon and chicken. There were no complaints. Everyone enjoyed their plate, but I believe everyone agreed that the Lamb was thebest. Hats off to the chef! The deserts (pictured) were good as well. We had the cheesecake, butter cake, monkey bread,carrot cake and Creme Brule. There were no bad options. Drinks: A couple of us ordered sweet cocktails. We preferred ourdrinks to be a little sweeter than what we got, but our waiter helped to fix our drinks. I guess the bar was the weaklink....but it wasn 't horrible. Pictured was the **** Mary. It was ok. Ambiance: to be a considered 'fine dining ' restaurant,I would 've expected the dining hall to be a tad bit nicer. It was more of a 3/5 especially considering the price points. Therestaurant didn 't exactly match the price or the ambiance but, again, it wasn 't horrible. Overall, we still give it a 5/5because the food was good and the service was great. We 'll be back.
1st time coming to a steakhouse and let me tell you, it was delicious. Haven't had steak this good ever. The quality of the food was above and beyond. The taste of all the different foods and sides, definitely made the experience good. Service was excellentas well. Not cheap by any means, but definitely worth it, you deserve it.
