Cao Bakery Cafe

Veey dissappointing. The sweets were delicious. God forbid I call them pastries... As soon as I walked in I opted to speak in English which is my first language, and knew that was a mistake. The lady behind the counter with long lighr brown blondish hair became very impatient, rude and corrected me saying that what I wanted wasn't pastries, the pastries are the croquetas, empanadas etc. Mind you I was pointing at the cakes which are pastries in English. She then began to speak in Spanish as if i had no knowledge of what she was saying. Big mistake. She then stared with her RBF face as if she was looking inside my soul. Her face was toxic. Her tone was toxic. Her customer service was toxic. Her whole vibe was toxic. She really killed the moment with her attitude. I don't think I will be returning to this CAO bakery and it's unfortunate because the place was beautiful, but if i dont feel welcome and the vibe is off. Its a rap.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering Cao Bakery, and let me just say, their cheesecakes are an absolute delight for the senses. I am a local and live right down the street and in the hospitality business for 40 years and when I visited this location this morning I ordered about $15 worth of coffee and breakfast sandwiches and proceeded to pay with a fifty dollar bill only to be told "we no have change "needless to say I took my business somewhere else where they gladly served me and had change for a fifty..My restaurant always starts the day with a $400 bank and I can tell you I 've been given $100 bill to start my shift more than once and we change it with a smile and a thanks for coming this place seems to care less if they lose a customer

The cafe con leche was very good as was the breakfast croissant. The eggs benedict was unusual bc of the pepitas with sauce on top but the problem we ran into was that my girlfriend and I ordered breakfast together but they brought us the 2nd of the 2 breakfast dishes almost 5 minutes after they brought out the 1st breakfast dish. Made it less enjoyable for 2 people to eat breakfast together. We will still give them another try.

Good wasn’t good, not sure how anyone could rate the breakfast sandwiches as good, the eggs were gross, no flavor and the ham and cheese sandwich was a joke, pricey and not good at all, I’m not going
