We visited this place with adults and children for a pre-booked meal. The experience was a shambles. The entire party was crammed in to a tiny room and the food (whilst ok) was delivered in a haphazard fashion by a head waitress who had the customer service skills of a concentration camp guard. The lady manager owner seemed to lose the plot over the simple mathematics of the bill (the food had been pre-ordered and a set deposit handed over and was rude and obnoxious to deal with.Knowing that pubs are struggling to stay afloat you'd expect an establishment like this would welcome a large party of people spending money on their food and alcohol. Instead they acted like we were an inconvenience and that THEY were doing us a favour.Avoid at all costs.
review time carbeile inn star (if that)started generally nice and deserts lovely howevermains were only satisfactory stacks where ok but not cooked as asked (over cooked) the chips where inedible (tasted oily and not fresh)but the worst point was the female owner who when we questioned an issue on our bill did not believe us was grumpy and made us feel like we were trying to rip her off. until she realised that it was their error and then she became all fake nice. the male owner seemed of and the waiting staff were lovely. we did not mind the issue it self as mistakes happen but we do mind being made out as liars.we will not be returning to the carbeile inn as long as she is owner. thank you for ruining my mums mothers day.
The Carbeile Inn gave 33 members of Wilcove WI a fantastic Christmas lunch today! From the minute we arrived, they had arranged a super area for us with plenty of space which worked well as we had brought 5 huge Christmas hampers to display for...our raffle! The tables were beautifully dressed with handwritten place cards and they were all smiles for us despite some members being rather late and holding up the service. The food was excellent most of us chose the Christmas carvery (which they are famous for). Everyone really enjoyed the lunch, the staff and owners could not have been more helpful and we never felt rushed! Thank you Carbeile from all of us xx
Firstly I must agree with Karl B, we had also booked a table but were not expected when we arrived. This was however quickly rectified and we were seated quite quickly. We attended the carvery counter table by table which was good. The downside was...no cutlery, napkins, these also appeared quickly upon request. The food was really lovely and I really enjoyed my visit. If the service had been better I would have given 5stars.
