We got the signature with sliced beef and the braided beef noodle soup, Xiao long bak, and spicy wontons and the lamb pocket (forgot the actual name).The spicy wontons were ok, not the best, but not bad either. Mainly, I didn't like the watery soupy base as opposed to a strong, spicy thicker base.The Xiao long bao was bad. Don't get of you're a connoisseur.Mainly, the wrap was very thick which ruins it for me.Also they don't automatically give you ginger/vinegar sauce.The beef noodle soup was overall ok.I got thick noodles with he braised beef.The beef was mediocre, not tender with melting tendon.My broth was good, and the thick noodles were excellent.Oh and the bok Choi was cold and hard, d...
The food is delicious! However, it feels a bit overpriced. The wait time can be quite long, even when you're there in person. The restaurant seemed nearly empty, yet it took over 20 minutes to get just two bowls of noodles. Additionally, the takeout containers are too small for the noodles, making it difficult to manage unless I transfer them to a larger bowl. Overall, I would rate it a 3.7.
Noodles are good, but not much else. And as the other review mentioned, prices went up, but the soups are 1/2 containers now instead of full. I tried the boneless sauteed chicken, it was nothing but chewy boiled pieces of dark chicken that tasted raw and full of tendons bottom of the barrel type of chicken quality. Stick with the soups, but even then seems to be losing quality recently.
This restaurant offers incredible Chinese braised beef noodles. I've visited the DunHuang in Flushing, and I must say this one is even better. Plus, I don't have to drive half an hour to get to Flushing! My latest meal here was the braised beef noodle soup with extra bok choy. It was such a fantastic dish with just the right amount of spice—not too overwhelming at all.
