The Cariboo Hotel used to have excellent food. Well, it's not like the good old days that's for sure. My entire meal was awful. I ordered chicken souvlaki. The chicken was bone dry, the greek salad had NO dressing, the rice was aking to packaged Uncle Ben's and was mushy besides. the tzatziki tasted nothing like it should, the pita bread was instead garlic toast and came toasted only on one side. What a disapointment. The waitress, while somewhat snippy did take the meal off the bill (not that I ate my meal...I left hungry). She seemed personally offended that we complained and stated that "No one ever complains here". Over the next few days we heard many people agree that the food was lacki...
On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, my gal and I, both 70+ seniors visited the Cariboo Hotel for a steak dinner each at 15:30, after walking the Riverfront Park Trail along the Fraser and Quesnel Rivers in Quesnel during a warm and sunny day. This was an excellent time to visit this pub since we enjoyed a reasonably quiet atmosphere looking out over Highway 97 to the Fraser River. Our server was a well-mannered young lady who answered all our questions politely and took our order. The Cariboo Steak Dinner was well prepared and quite enjoyable. The staff at Cariboo Hotel are friendly, polite, and efficient, whether you dine in the restaurant, order delivery, or use their taxi service. They provide excellent service without using profanity or punishing customers for others' actions, unlike my recent experience at The Westside Liquor Store. The portions on the Cariboo Restaurant menu are impressively generous, and I especially recommend trying their wings and the Famous Cariboo Mushroom burger. I give Cariboo Hotel a high rating of four stars for their professionalism and teamwork, which made my short stay memorable. Cheers!
Theres weekly specials, I had beef dip, was amazing. I usually end up getting cheese cake when I'm done my meal. THE CHEESE CAKE IS SOOOOO GOOD!! I try and make it to wing nights when ever I can. Wings are great! Considering short staff service is really good and the ladies are really friendly and the kitchen is pretty speedy. Réservez une table maintenant
