Le personnel est très sympathique, c'est donc une véritable pitié que votre nourriture ne soit pas grande. Compte tenu du grand nombre de places qui servent une cuisine similaire à Newtown, c'est malheureusement plutôt la même et le milieu de la route.

in the quiet corner of albermarle and probert street in newtown has lost the popular carlisle castle bistro its youthfulness and radiance since the takeover of the club a year visibly. The rhythmic music and delicious bistro food were over. Apart from several regular (as I am) and other football soccer fans that are glued with the huge tvs around the pub, they can hardly see someone who slips on their tasteless junk food. How bad.

Read a review by 'Time Out'- same place that rated the number one club in Sydney that was coincidentally closed, that stated this place add 'odd'. YES it is odd this is the only place in Newtown that still encapsulates the old inviting feeling of Newtown. Where everyone is accepted. Amazing staff. Amazing locals. It should be a secret. But who's going to read this anyway.
cute pub, it's a shame that eating is pretty average. shorter menu with some pub classics would be better! they simply need a passionate cook and know how to cook the seasonal things properly!
Some friends, who used to live in Newtown and know about the hidden backstreet wonder that is the Carlisle, took me there last night.

Really good food but maybe a bit to expensive considering the amount of food. I had the crispy skin salmon and it was delicious.
One of the best pubs for food in Newtown I've been there many times and have never been disappointed.
