Carlos1800 Mexican Grill Cantina

The service was good and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. However, the food was expensive and lacked flavor. The rice was bland, and none of our main dishes were properly seasoned. I ordered a carne asada burrito, and my husband and I were left questioning whether the meat was fresh. The chips and salsa were only slightly better than spaghetti sauce and cost $5, with no hot sauce available at the table. Overall, I give this place 2 stars for the service. My husband and I enjoy trying Mexican food when we visit family or go hunting in the area, but we definitely won't be coming back.

We ended up spending several hours talking and catching up, and our server never made us feel rushed at all. Karla was fantastic at making us feel welcome, and once we finally placed our food order, it arrived quickly and was exactly what I had hoped for. I had the fajitas, which were perfect, while my mom enjoyed the fish tacos and finished every last bite. We were seated outside, right by the river, creating the most relaxing backdrop. Thank you for a wonderful experience; we can't wait to come back!

The menu is outstanding, the food is incredibly tasty, and the service is prompt. I was a little disappointed that they charged five dollars for chips and salsa, which are typically complimentary at Mexican restaurants. However, they do offer free chips and salsa with the first basket. The staff is also quick to refill drinks and is very accommodating to families with kids.

The restaurant has an attractive exterior, but as soon as you walk in, you realize the atmosphere is lacking. The menu is disappointing and overpriced, featuring dishes that taste like they came from a can—particularly the beans and rice. Nothing seemed fresh. Showed up at 815pm excited to eat after reading good reviews but was turned away when they close at 9. Man didn’t give me a reason or apologize just waved his hands sort of shooed me away. Very disappointed Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My mother’s side of the family is Hispanic, so I know what good Mexican food tastes like. This restaurant definitely shouldn’t be allowed to call itself a Mexican eatery. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2.

The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is delightful. The service is decent but could be more friendly and inviting. I've eaten here four or five times.
