Carlyle House Cafe

We happened on this wonderful cafe whilst in Haddington at a meeting. We were really excited by the interesting menu and found it very hard to choose from so many wonderful sounding options. We all had something different and were not disappointed. It was all freshly prepared, looked great and tasted delicious. The staff were all helpful, attentive and smiley. It I ever happen to be back in Haddington I will definitely return. Thank you

We have visited this historic restaurant multiple times for lunch. The menu is unique and offers a variety of enticing main dishes. The food is well-presented and delicious, with a range of flavors to enjoy. Don't forget to check out the dessert options in the display area. The quality of the food here surpasses what you would typically find at a café.

We have now been here four times and consider it to be a great discovery. The menu of mains is diverse and unusual. The food is full of different flavours and beautifully presented. Dessert is a selection from the display of food all of which is delightful to taste. This is a really good lunch venue. It is a lot more than just a cafe for coffee!

I stand by my previous remarks about this hidden treasure. The staff is welcoming, the menu is concise yet caters to a variety of preferences. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious. We typically order a main course and then choose something from the bakery display. Overall, it's a fantastic option with top-notch cuisine.

Carlyle cafe was not our first choice but we were very pleasantly surprised with our find ! Staff were very friendly and greeted us in a very professional manner. We enjoyed our coffee and cakes and hope to be back in the future for some scones !
