Carmelo's Italian

Great! From service to food everything was wonderful. Sutton, our waiter, was great! We dined outdoors and it was much warm with many heaters everywhere. We had to start the Calamari agro dolce and Burrata mangiafico - both were delicious! The main thing were all fantastic to bocconcini alla Marsala, veal marsala and veal chop fiorentina. Had Dessert because we were too full. Will definitely be back - the best food I eat in Punta Gorda! Believe all the great reviews of this place is a jewel.

Chef is owner. His Dad works their and is wonderful. Our waitperson told us most of staff had been with Carmelo for 5 years. He paid his staff during Covid shut down and also made meals for them. The staff are the most attentive and professional I have experienced in years. As a Chef, Carmelo is marvelous. His desert tray is unbelievable! The deserts were amazing to taste and their presentation was beautiful. The staff brought a Happy Birthday canoli for our guest of honor.

It was my 20. Birthday and I'm so glad I wanted to spend it with Carmelos. It was my first time here and I had the nicest server, she was so sweet with the best recommendation. (I think her name was Celeste) The food was amazing, and they were even sweet enough to make me a special caramel cappuccino. Thank you for making Carmelo such a special night. I recommend all newcomers. By far the best Italian cuisine I've ever had.

SERIOUS AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD‍ You can tell it's all handmade from the 1st bite. Reservations are highly recommended They were nicely FULL. The entire staff was honorable, respectful, and appreciative. We WILL return, for dessert next time. Mille Grazie

Some of the best food I've ever eaten. The rice ball appetizers were fantastic. The salmon and filet mignon were both so delicious. I would highly recommend.
