service was the best part. this restaurant lies between a 4-5 stars. I'll explain downstairs. I was a great steak iron before, but less so now. I underestimated my ability to eat the wagyu. 14 ounces at $69 for the ribeye seemed reasonable, though I would have gone for the zartoin next time. the flesh is so marbled that it didn't take me much to fill. the kalamari could have been crispy. the scallops I enjoyed. they were 4 very big pieces. the sauce has paired well. the aubergineparmesan and the pasta were in order. much of what I felt was in order, but it didn't wake me. a solid, consistent restaurant can still get 5 of me if I had the feeling I would jump on the chance to return. eating wa...
we have a new favorite steak house now. the decor was great, the service was excellent, great love to detail. the atmosphere was relaxed and eating was amazing. his family style, so they get a few sides and share around the table. our steak was for two of us, perfectly cooked and we asked to cut it out to share it easier. the drink menu was great, the cocktails were super, and an excellent wine menu, all for every taste, opportunity and budget. that is said it is a high end, so they expect the bill, but the eating and the drinks fit to the price. the atmosphere here was somehow very covered but super-upscale at the same time. alan was our waiter and he made this a very pleasant evening (increating where to park, explain the menu, make sure our tassen were never empty, and his very happy arrangement) and even the manager visited the table to see how everything was and it was lovely. the sides are much bigger than I had expected and probably should not have been ordered with the pasta as I was too full to try more than a taste. and it was very good, I would highly recommend the roasted brunette spouts with boar bacon.
The black magic pasta was a delightful surprise; it offers a unique twist on traditional tomato sauce that is simply delicious. The combination of scallions and prawns added a wonderful touch. We also ordered the truffle fries, and let me tell you, these were not your average fries—they were elevated to a whole new level of fancy! I highly recommend these dishes. beautiful experience, with a very beautiful mood. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their eating. service was amazing. They are amazing, only they look at the steak. the best steak in wpg, I thought 529 had the best steak. carne was better and would recommend it. the steak was perfect. the oysters are a great starter. the carbonara pasta was beautiful. the calamari was not my favorite, but he did not take away from the main course.
Be sure to try the Brussels sprouts! Even though I'm not usually a fan, these were incredible! The tempura cauliflower is also a must-try. A quick note: the only Canadian whisky they offer is Crown Royal, which surprised me. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken livers, as they were served in a type of gravy with tomatoes. However, the steaks were fantastic! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very pleasant.
The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right, allowing the quality of the cut to shine through. I would have given five stars, but the staff seemed rushed and distracted by other tables. Their hurried demeanor was quite noticeable, and I would expect a more attentive and relaxed service from a restaurant of this caliber.
The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent as well. The portions were generous, and the interior had an upscale feel. Conveniently, they offer validated parking. We went there on Nov 12,2018 for our anniversary. The service is pretty good and Dale(not sure spelling correct) is so professional. Steak is tender in good portion and pasta is fresh in spicy which is my favorite. We had a unforgettable dinner there on our 1st year anniversary.
