Cartgate Lodge Cafe

Stop at cargate picnic area often overnight in the lorry. The food I had at the cafe tonight was dreadful. Cottage pie and veg. Cheap frozen veg thrown in microwave, and a tiny portion of c pie. Probably just about enough for a ten year old. For a well overpriced 9.95. Just eat delivery from now on.

Great spot to stop off for breakfast lunch or late lunch , good selection on the menu, we had lasagne, quiche and the sausage egg chips really tasty no shop bought quiche here , plenty of room to walk dogs or let the kids have a run round after being in the car for a long time , staff really nice

Excellent location for a comfort break for us and more importantly our dog with a lovely green area plenty of picnic tables and dog water bowls. Food is excellent, facilities perfect for that quick break. Traditional breakfast highly recommended.

A really GREAT place on a major route with A GREAT cafe, Tourist office facilities set in a small park area lots of Parking. I think it should think about installing charging units for the future Electric Cars Réservez une table maintenant

Lovely little place, open early for breakfast on the road. Cheap and cheerful with mice service and room for kids to jump around on the big stones outside . Nice change from the usual, we'll be back.

Stopped here in need of a hot drink. The so-called cappuccino was truly awful, a load of froth on top of an insipid brew that vaguely resembled milky hot chocolate.

Lovely setting with lots of shady places,good selection of food and drink,good place to let children and dogs have a break and run around during a car journey.

Clean, tidy with a very efficient service by very personable servers. Chef is an inspiration as he juggled his griddle. Good breakfast, thank you Réservez une table maintenant

Excellent stop off on way down to Cornwall. Great food and friendly staff. Good selection to suit all tastes.
