I've never been to a Carvel before, but I know someone who used to work at one. I thought I would like it because there was a lot of hype about it. However, I was disappointed because of a few major reasons. I will premise this by saying that the chocolate ice cream with caramel and mini rainbow snowcaps that I did have was really good. I only really leave one or two-star reviews for health code violations or anything like that and how informative the staff is about allergies and food safety. I wanted to look at all of the flavors and wanted to know which ones had gluten, and which ones did not. trash service smh they don’t listen i asked for small dipped cone the girl gave me huge waffle cone i complained she just stared didn’t offer to fix it or anything she said i can’t dip s small cone you have to get a waffle cone that’s to much ice cream for me smh she still did it after i asked for smaller cone !!!! then i look in freezer after i paid and it’s a small dipped cone i said you told me you couldn’t dip the ice cream on a small cone again the girl just stared smh corny
You may be thinking that all Carvel locations are alike, but they 're not. I have visited many Carvel locations in many states, and this one (fortunately my home Carvel store) is the best. The soft ice cream is consistently dense and smooth, never runny, and they have a large selections of hard ice creams and sherbets, all of which are delicious. Portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and helpful. Never disappointed with anything from this place.
