I had high expectations for this restaurant, as everyone in town raved about how good it used to be. However, it seems that the quality may have declined over the years. As someone with experience as both a server and manager at a seafood restaurant, I can say that this place is in need of some serious training. Despite it not being very busy on a Friday night, we waited an hour and a half for our food, which was overpriced at $39 per plate. The server was not very well versed in the knowledge of the menu but he was pleasant and attentive. I was pleased to see a Moscato available on the wine list and it was light and sweet. The bread was warm and served with butter and oil with roastedgarlic. The Caesar was a fail as it was served with powdered Parm and for the price, real shaved Parm was expected. Tonight is my birthday and my spouse chose this restaurant, but we did not receive the best service. We were repeatedly told that our table was ready, only to be informed that a party of 15 had arrived. After waiting for 1 1/2 hours, we finally requested our bill, which was brought to us by a woman who did not identify herself. When we mentioned the party of 4 who had already been seated, the waitress and the woman only seemed concerned about the party of 15. This restaurant should provide better service, as we have experienced better service at Olive Garden. As business owners ourselves, we would never treat our customers in such a disrespectful manner.
This was the third time in the last few years we have eaten here. Each time we arrive, the greeter has an incredibly cold defensor. She set out menus on the table, turned and walked away without a word. We sat at a high top at the bar and the bartender/server had pretty much the same attitude. .We got the lobster ravioli and soft shell crab as a main dish and bruschetta and oyster rockefeller as appetizers. The flavors were great and the portions were perfect.It's a shame about the staff's attitude, It really detracts from the food and ambiance.
My partner and I celebrated his birthday on Thursday night at this restaurant, and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, Caesar salad, chicken parmesan, and lobster ravioli. The garlic oil that came with the bread was irresistible. For dessert, we indulged in crème brûlée and a cannoli with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate for my partner. It was a thoughtful touch. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We had a great experience during our first visit to this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and we were greeted warmly. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the special, eggplant and veal parmesan with pasta, while my husband had a pasta and sausage dish. I might request less sauce next time, but overall it was still tasty. Tyrese is the standout star at this restaurant - he was the best waiter I've ever had. He was funny, nice, caring, and always ready to help. The food was pretty good, but a bit pricey. The 3-hour wait was absolutely terrible, and the lack of apologies from management was disappointing. However, the building itself is pretty cool.
