we were four and unfortunately had all the terrible hunger, which is why we put ourselves in the next best restaurant. someone of us ordered a green salad to the appetizer. the salat had been eaten halfway, two of the four main courses came, one rindstatar (chf 38.- !!) and one spaghetti bolognese. the bark statue looked like eating. it was clapped on a dish. no brot, no wobble. it had little taste and was probably refined with ketchup. the spaghetti were boiled and tasted as already repeatedly warmed up. the two main courses were almost completely eaten, when the other two main courses were served. a pizza prosciutto e funghi, a pizza ruccola. on the pizza funghi were bush mushrooms. also o...
We wanted to take a look at the restaurants above the piazza and went to eat in this restaurant. From the menu: “House specialty” I didn't want to miss the hunter-style rabbit with polenta, as no other restaurant in Ticino has this on the menu anymore. Unfortunately I have to say that it was the worst rabbit that definitely came straight from the freezer with sauce. (Dry meat and soggy sauce) The polenta is definitely the finished product “Maggi Express” which wasn’t even seasoned because then it would have been great. My partner's pizza without mushrooms was good. The chef and the bosses should go over the books, but the staff was nice and tried very hard.
Es war wohl die schlechteste Pizza, welche ich je hatte. Undefinierbare Käsekörnermischung weit weg von Mozzarella, Champignons aus der Dose (ein no go für ein Restaurant), eine fade Tomatensauce und Pizzateig, welcher vermutlich ein Halbfabrikat aus der Foodindustrie war. Nicht besser war der an Langeweile kaum zu überbietende Tomatensalat und auch das Cordonbleue, welches auch nicht aussah wie selber in der Küche zubereitet. Leider war das Nachtessen für die ganze Gruppe eine Riesenenttäuschung. Früher hatte das Restaurant anscheinend einen guten Ruf, mit so lieblosem und dann noch recht teurem Essen wie gestern bei uns definitiv nicht mehr.
after I had hunger after the lasagne, I asked if it would be possible to have half a pizza or to get the child pizza. Yeah, well, that was the answer. then the bill came. on the note that I had only ordered a small pizza (and also got) but on the bill is 29 - instead of 16 - came the answer, for adult food also the small pizza the full price. thanks for the transparent info!I hope they will invest this 13.- in a better servicewoman. Das Essen ist gemeinhin spitzenmässig und authentisch. Wir haben es genossen hier zu essen. Der Service war hervorragend und die Küche schlichtweg super. Als ehemaliger Koch kann ich mir dieses Urteil erlauben. Das Lokal kann ich jedem empfehlen der sich in Locarno aufhält. Wer das Gegenteil behauptet, wird wohl ehe bei McDonalds verkehren und hat keine Ahnung von der Tessiner Küche.
As is well known, the prices in Ticino are high and, as we have seen in other restaurants, the quality is also high. However, anyone who dines at Casa del Popolo (CH) gets the opposite of quality on their plate. The lasagne couldn't be beaten in terms of tastelessness and the carbonara was only edible with half the salt shaker... Sorry, but just unbelievably bad!
Personal unfreundlich. Pizza mit Dosenpilzen und billigem Schinken! Billiges Industriebrot Aperol geschmacklos. Wir mussten die halbe Pizza sowie den wässerigen Aperol liegen lassen, weil wir sie NICHT essen/trinken konnten... wir können das Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen! Die 40. sind verloren...
