Casa Durango Family Mexican

A small Mom/Pop Mexican restaurant tucked out of the way in Renton. This is one of the most authentic Mexican places we've seen in the area and my wife is used to SoCal Mexican food. Highlights are: Best Enchiladas we've had on the East side Excellent (and free) home made chips and salsa Very very good street style tacos, amazingly seasoned meat Quiet space with friendly staff and fast service Only downside is there is no queso dip on the menu, but the high quality of food more than makes up for it.

If you want to eat somewhere in between high-end, street food, or fast food Mexican, this is the best place. The portions are plentiful and delicious. The price is also much cheaper than other places. However, you have to sit down gently because the chair squeaks when you sit down. I love this restaurant, the food is amazing, service is friendly and if they make a mistake they fix it and then some. The salsa is very yummy with a bit of spice. They have vegetarian and vegan options, any of the vegetarian options can also be made vegan. We recently brought my mother in law here when she was visiting and she also loved it. This restaurant is a neighborhood treasure.

The Pollo Asada was the special, and it was fresh and hot when it got to the table. Chips were fresh, and the salsa had a kick but was really good. The only thing I encountered that was not great was the bench seating. I tried 3 booths before settling on one that did not tip or have excessive bumps. If I lived closer I would be here all the time! Great service, friendly people, clean restaurant.... and the food was terrific! The salsa was so good and fresh, as was the guacamole! We loved our meals, I will be recommending this place to our friends in the area.
