what a nice opportunity to spend a cold damp Thursday night. we sat at her beautiful bar for cocktails. geo makes a fantastic classic vodka gimlet. we tasted some red wines before we decide to dinner. unastated bottle was decanted and waited for us to taste the table. so many wonderful options on the menu that we decided to create a tapas style dinner. we started with the antipasto, salmon carpaccio, garnel filled with crab meat packed in pancetta. a large portobello mushroom with aubergines. was a lot to share for both of us. our last dish was a rigatoni with rapini and garnel. From the moment we walked in, it felt like a warm family. We were greeted and treated with the utmost respect! The staff from servers/hosts were all super nice and helpful. A simple yet delicious menu was offered, everything fresh and made in house, the calamari was some of the best calamari I had ever eaten, the tomato basil soup was to die for, the gnocchi was superb, the lobster ravioli were perfect, and the deserts were rich, decadent and a definite would come back again. Eating here reminded me of my great grandmothers cooking, which just made me feel warm and keep eating.
It is always a treat to dine here. Service is top notch and food is always delicious. We shared a Caesar salad to start, which was split in the kitchen, an important touch. We both chose a special of blackened swordfish for entrees. The fish was super fresh and nicely spiced served over red peppers and onions with potatoes and vegetables. The bruschetta that arrived first is outstanding and the bread is so good i took it home. Only issue is parking. We rather double parked in the front as the back lot was full.
Awesome welcome once entered door. Super friendly host. Was there for a pre-wedding festivity and we were offered a free glass of Prosecco each and sat in the small lounge area before sitting down. Quite relaxing! They were very accommodating to our requests -3 ladies sharing one salad lol. Food delicious and coffee and sambuca a must! Réservez une table maintenant
