Casa Rufino - Réserver une table

Last Sunday, me and my family went to Rufino with very high expectations, as last year we had a nice experience. Surprisingly, this time, there was several occurrences that did not pleased us at all. The service was longstanding and due to lack of preparation of the staff, wrong information was given. The tourist menu include 3 starters and 1 main: all tuna!… is tuna so typical? As desert, the waitress include in the offer ice cream, However this was wrong, it was just fruit (local fruit? traditional desert?… , thus when the bill came we were charged extra deserts and we have to complain as we did not knew this. The fish soup was the worst I had eaten: mainly potato base, tasting like fish water, half of the cup of pasta and two shrimps… this soup took 45 min to be served, everyone had the main and I was still waiting for it. I would say that was forgot, until I asked 30 min after if was still going to take too long to be served… Definitely it was not an experience to share in FB or Insta.

A good friend of ours from Huelva took us to Casa Rufino for lunch, and boy was it amazing! We had a variety of Tuna Fish dishes, all these dishes were delicious. I didn't know you can make so many dishes out of the Tuna. Their white wines served were all excellent. The atmosphere at this restaurant was a quiet one, I guess at the hour we went it wasen't crowded. The service was top notch! even the chef came out to recommend desserts and more wine. This restaurant is also known for participating in the Annual Atun Festival in Isla Cristina, they have won awards, based on their town reviews. If we have a chance in the future to return to Isla Cristina this is definitely going to be our first stop to eat. The price for four people was also very inexpensive.

Friends introduced us to this wonderful restaurant. It did not disappoint. So much so that we were fortunate to visit again before leaving Spain in December. It's a professionally, family run business. Each chef wines and dines his guests as if they themselves were members of the family. We felt so pampered. Looking forward to our return visit in February.

Went here on our last evening is isla cristina. Food and service is fabulous. Spanish spoken but one waiter could speak some English which was helpful. Menu in Spanish and English too. Wine very cheap, food quite expensive but well worth the shell out at least once.

We were recommended Rufino by the reception in the hotel. The food was excellent and the prices were decent but not in the low range. Service was excellent. We will be back!!!
