My partner and I flew from the UK, and we had a wonderful time exploring some of Isla Cristina’s local restaurants. Casa Rufino was so far one of the best restaurants we had been to. The food is *outstanding* (I emphasize the word! , and service was impeccable, prompt and friendly. Founded in 1956, this is clearly a restaurant where locals go to treat themselves to a gorgeous meal. We chose the “tosta sardina” (succulent! Order at least two of those if you can! A great way to start the meal , followed by the extraordinary “artichoke with prawns and ham”. A elegant Restaurant close to the beach, a bit outside of town. We have been here for lunch. Unfortunately we were wearing beachclothes, but I think the waiter is used to it,even the other Spanish guest, were wearing white collar.....Probably Business lunch. Wie had rice with gambas. Normally you have to order this a day before,but we were lucky and the chef made it for us. It was very nice, not greasy as sometimes. White wine for 13€ a bottle was a good deal if you compare it with the 40€ we paid for the lunch.
Si quieren deleitarse con algo especial y quieren impresionar al tu acompañante, no te puede faltar este restaurante. Servicio de 10, comida de 100, todo insuperable, porfavor reservar y venir. El trato muy cercano del dueño del local es increíble 1000 x 1000 recomendable.
Good quality, but quite overpriced. They charged 20 EUR for 7 (seven) clams in a not really nice green sauce. The tuna is fine, just fine. Boccana is a better deal, IMO.
