Wonderful tasty homemade food served by friendly Susi. Generous portions, lovely fresh bread served with 2 dips, garlic and a warm tasty ratatouille. Then the chef gave you a lamb kofte which was very flavoursome, this was all before the food you had ordered, so go there with comfy loose clothes! We had the pate and lasagne, the lasagne was lacking meat but still all good. The lamb chops were devine and also had the monkfish which tasted like it was from frozen as texture was soft but cooked in fresh herbs, the jacket potato served with both meals was delicious and the best. We love Susis. From her beaming welcoming smile to the banter we have with her. The setting is very traditional Spanish somewhat isolated up the Bernia road from Jalon about 7 kilometres up a narrow winding road. The outside terrace overlooks vines and in the distance the magnificence of the Bernia Range. Indoors you have a typical Spanish house with various local and Moroccan crafts for sale on display. The meal is an all in price of either 22 or 25 euros dependent on the main course. As much local wine as you can manage. Drivers have to observe the Spanish drink driving laws. Restaurante casero y no obstante llevado con suma profesionalidad por Asunción (susy), quien se desvive, con un magnífico cocinero árabe para ofrecer un menú magnífico del que hay que destacar el trajín de cordero, pasas y Almendras. Destaca la limpieza del edificio y aseos, y la música en directo. Precios equilibrados.

A dishwater pochero with an occassional vegetable plus one tagine for three people cost 63 euros five of the tiniest pieces of lamb you have ever seen. I had one tiny piece myself my companions had two small pieces each. I came home starving hungry. Don’t go there Réservez une table maintenant

Very scenic drive up to the restaurant. Lovely location. Lots of seating outside as well as inside. Ideal for large groups or special occasions. Good menu and extensive range of drinks. Fun, lively atmosphere and good food.

Such a lovely location amongst the Olive groves. The Lamb Tagene must pre order is the house speciality and all food is locally produced. The owners and staff are great put it on your must visit places.
