Service was terrible upon sitting down we had to ask 3 times just to get water. After appetizers I asked to see the wine list the waitress brought it and did not return for over 25 minutes. A food runner brought us our food and we never saw the waitress until we were done our meals. Never asked if we wanted wine after asking for the list, never refilled our empty waters after running out of water at the table, never asked how the food was. Total disappointment as we've read that the service here was top notch and they are famous for their wine collection. Food was good, but nothing special. We will not be back. Food is always fabulous here. The waiting staff is exceptional. More than 6 weeks previously booked and asked for courtyard. At check-in we said outside on the terrace on the street. It was a 20-minute waiting inside, past the reserved time. I had naked legs and it was 58 degrees. They gave me a blanket, and after many difficulties to change the gas for heat lamps, it was okay. I was really disappointed when two tables that sat in the open air moved inside. We didn't give this option. For a $300 internal bill, it ruined our experience. I've always been inside and that one time I've brought my family to see how special it was, we were all disappointed.

The romantic atmosphere draws you in and creates anticipation for magic. The epic wine list offers more than plenty options, both on the high end and more moderate options well. The food focuses on classics rather than a tasting menu. We haven't experienced the hit or miss on service or food others mentioned. We've been going there for years and always have had a great experience. If you are in town, try it. But as much as we like it, it's not a special trip just to dine here type restaurant.
