Full disclosure. This review is solely based on catering service in the large event center (Grand Hall) from Castle Falls. I did verify that the restaurant side does in fact cater to the Hall events before writing this review. In all fairness we have eaten in the restaurant many times and the food has always been excellent. The hall itself and the service were both very accommodating otherwise this rating may have been a 1 star. Okay on to the purpose for the low rating. THE FOOD Unacceptable. We went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner as a couple. The exterior of the restaurant has a romantic European architecture feel. The interior is nicely decorated with warm and cozy lighting. Although the decor is a bit dated, the restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere. We were seated next to a nice couple, but the close proximity to other tables could be uncomfortable for some. We went to this restaurant on a Friday evening to celebrate our dating anniversary. I was able to make reservations online a couple of days in advance, which was very convenient. The service was excellent! We never felt rushed and were able to take our time looking at the menu and discussing our options without feeling like we were inconveniencing our waiter. He was attentive but not overbearing. We started with the crab cakes, which were delicious. For my entree, I had the pot roast and it was fantastic. We had an absolutely amazing meal to celebrate Valentine's Day. The service was exceptional, the chef's selected menu was luxurious and delicious. The deconstructed bruschetta was fresh and flavorful, changing my view on how to prepare it. The warm lobster bisque was silky smooth and filled with sweet lobster bites. The salad with raspberry vinaigrette was perfectly balanced. The filet mignon and lobster tail were cooked to perfection and served with delicious sides. Dessert was a decadent chocolate mousse with caramel sauce. We shared this wonderful dining experience with friends and left with great memories.
