Definitely check out Catch 22 if you're in Hilton Head! It has an elegant, old school vibe. Sit at the bar. Bartender Derek is a doll and has been there 20+ years. He's eaten everything on the menu except the tuna. He's full of stories and suggestions! We started with the crab and shrimp hush puppies with whipped butter and key lime sauce. This restaurant is the best choice near Hilton Head. The chef has great skills and offers romantic dining. They have an early bird special that you can find on their website. The tables are decorated with crushed seashells and glass table tops. We were served complimentary bread and a main dish with a Caesar salad. I ordered the Pan Seared Scallops and Ravioli, which came with sautéed onions, spinach, shiitake mushrooms, and spinach ravioli topped with prosciutto creamy sauce. We made a last minute reservation to eat at 5:30. They were gracious about us having a toddler with us (high chair available) and were extremely accommodating, with our sever Derrick even procuring some orange slices from the bar after our toddler got fixated on the lemon slices in the water... If you dine in before 6, they have some early bird specials that include salad plus the entree which are a great deal! My spouse got the beef tips au poivre and I had the sheepshead fish special which was delicious. I also had their crab chowder and my only complaint was that there were too many potatoes. I've spent the week in Hilton Head and this was the best meal I had the entire time! We started with fried Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer which were very delicious. The bread was warm out of the oven, the Lobster was a good portion and I had the Chocolate Ganache cake with ice cream and I enjoyed it all. The service was fantastic! Derek was a terrific server and really rounded out the experience. The food was tasty and everyone in our large group enjoyed what they order, some of which included the brussell sprouts, onion soup, scallops and ravioli, beet salad, prime rib, daily catch, etc. We'll definitely be back!
Another overpriced, mediocre restaurant in HH. The scallops: 2/3 were good. One was very gritty. The spinach was disgusting, no flavor whatsoever. Ravioli on top of salmon were decent but didn't taste the goat cheese. Salmon was a good portion but weird topping, seemed like they just threw apricot jam on top.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The daily fish special was a particularly pleasant dish. We would definitely recommend it to others. However, we were put off by a distasteful joke made by the host who seated us. This one negative experience may deter us from returning in the future.
My husband and myself really enjoyed our dinner at Catch 22. It has such a peaceful ambiance. The staff were so friendly and had great recommendations. I ordered the halibut and my husband got the 3 onion crusted pork chop. Both entrees exceeded our expectations. A great meal for a good value. Réservez une table maintenant
