Cathay House Restaurant

My partner and I ordered from Cathay House this evening, despite hearing not so good things about the place... we decided to give it a go, as all of our other Chinese picks were closed. I 've gotta say, this is probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I 've had. We should have turned right around and went home without the food after seeing how dirty the restaurant was inside. Not to mention the high amounts of garbage surrounding the building and in the stairwell of the place. Tried these guys out and were so sorry we did. The food pretty much all taste the same. It was so gross! About 80% went in the garbage. The food taste like they used the same sauce for everything. The sauce had no flavour at all and everything seemed over cooked. A pbj would of been way more pleasing. I'd give a 0 out of 5 if I could. This is also my first complaint ever....it was that bad that I had to warn others.

What the? I went to pick up my deluxe wanton soup and I legit thought they were closed. GARBAGE EVERYWHERE!!! I have no idea how they are allowed to serve food there. I understand their dining room isn't open but it was disgusting, and smelt like garbage. I couldn't imagine them ever being ready to open for dining in again. I will pay the extra few dollars next time and order elsewhere that I know is actually clean.

Food was inedible. Worst Chinese food I have ever ordered. Chicken balls were made 2 days ago and were 90 per cent batter. Vegetables tasted and smelled like they were cooked in dirty dish water. How is this place still in business I'll never know. First time ordering and will be my last. Never again Réservez une table maintenant

Don’t order from here. The veal was tough and smothered in a disgusting sauce that didn’t taste like honey or garlic. The spring roll chewy and dripping in grease. The noodles dry and chewy. Worst Asian food I have had in a long time.

Food was no good. Couldn’t even eat it, had to waste it. Not a single vegetable in the chow mein, just a couple slivers of a water chestnut. Everything came pre soaked in soya sauce. Sorry Cathay; but you need to figure it out

Absolutely the worst food ive ever had!!!! If you want food that tastes like it was made yesterday and cooked in dirty dishwater then this your place!!!!

The food and service are the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I do not recommend this place. There are too many issues. AVOID. Réservez une table maintenant

I was in the parking lot next to Cathay Garden. A&W actually and it was really good.

You can probably get better food out of the dumpster at the a&w next door.
