We had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The waitress accidentally discarded our order and had to return to take it again. The crab cakes had the texture of a fish patty, which was underwhelming. My New York strip steak was extremely salty and definitely didn't come out medium rare; it was more medium than anything. After our meals were reordered, we decided to cancel our salads and just fill up on bread instead. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary, and I really wanted crab legs, but the $175 price tag for 24 ounces felt excessive. We had a wonderful time on our date night. Our server was, as always, very polite and professional. We loved the ambiance with a view of the river and the soothing background music from the piano player. Both my wife and I started with a drink, followed by the wedge salad and perfectly prepared filets. Despite being attached to a casino, once you're in the restaurant, you wouldn’t even know it’s there. We truly believe that our dining experience at Cavanaugh’s is worth every penny, and we will continue to return for our special occasions.
The steak was tough not very hot, the bread was not hot but the asparagus cold of been a lot hotter we spent 200.00 For the money spent the steak should have been not tough and it should have been served hot. Loved the View watching the Sunset it was beautiful. please only contact me through email
The food was outstanding and beautifully prepared. The waitstaff were polite, attentive, and well-informed about the menu. There was an impressive selection of rye whiskeys, too! Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience in a lovely atmosphere.

Salmon and Neptune dinners were delicious. Our view was amazing and our reservations were at 5…just in time for a spectacular sunset! Thank you for making our Christmas Eve dinner perfect!
This is a lovely dining spot. The ambiance is consistently pleasant, and the food is outstanding. Additionally, there is a fantastic view of the river.
The waitress was very friendly and provided thorough explanations. The steak and salmon were both incredible.
We are always treated as family. The food is excellent and the service is always above our expectations.
