Seemed clean, rushed me and my family out because they were “closing soon”. Not many options around closing time… literally only ordered what THEY had available. Received good hot (which is great), flounder was unseasoned ?, fries were good, jumbo shrimp is not big and we’re over cooked, fried chicken was good. Their tartar sauce don’t taste like anything, the hot sauce was good. Also, don’t dare ask for extra tartar sauce cause they give you an attitude if you ask for more. Carrot cake is decent but has a strong taste to it, im not sure if it’s ginger. Can’t believe they consider this Soul Food… never again!
OHHH MY GOD!! sooo delicious, fresh and food came hot!!! and did not disappoint. although i did have to go to the bathroom right after i’m not sure if my stomach was hurting from scarfing the whiting fish sandwich down so fast or something else but it was delicious will definitely be ordering again!!! the fish was fresh and plump! nice crunch in the fish too!!! i also got the 8 piece wing with two sides and for my side i got mac and cheese with “yams”. the yams where almost like pumpkin pie filling but it was still good with the mac. the chicken was delicious as well. fried crispy and juicy yummm!!
I pass this place often and always wanted to try them. Finally did and was completely underwhelmed. I will say they have a clean establishment. Food was bland as could be. We ordered the fish and shrimp (fried), mac and cheese, yams, and sweet tea. Nothing special at all. The prices don't match the quality whatsoever as there was no seasoning put into this food. Not to mention, it took forever to receive our order. Fair service- not friendly and not horrible.
What The Hell Happened?? Where’s The Flavor?? The food was horrible, My food was cold. The yams was baby food ?, My collard greens was under cooked with no seasoning and no taste and my shrimp was popcorn and the tail is bigger then the shrimp?.. This is not it !! I had to re-cook my food. Who’s Cooking Now? Soul Food is flavor and there’s no flavor in this person’s soul!! I’m truly disappointed.

Oh my gosh, the fried whiting, mac and cheese, and hush puppies were absolutely delicious! The fried fish had a unique flavor that I can't get enough of. My partner really enjoyed the fried shrimp as well. Every time I visit the Bronx, I make it a point to stop there first for a meal. The staff were also extremely friendly to me.
When they say it’s the best soul food in the bronx, I’m here to say that that’s a fact. Not only does the food taste so good but the staff are friendly, the food is presented neatly and organized, and perfect warm temperature. I have to say the food is absolutely delicious. 10/10
They provided catering for my mother-in-law's memorial. The owner was incredibly patient with our constantly changing menu. The delivery was prompt, and the food was delicious!
