Me and my partner we been visiting cecchis for quite sometime back then when they were still in one building. Our last visit was an evening when the bar first open, our host was a european girl she was just started so was pretty clumsy we didnt mind it everyone deserve a chance. So... last sunday we decided to visit cecchis i have to say our experiece was pretty bad, we were greed by the same girl as our last visit. We waited about 20 mintute for our coffee... 20 mintute after order, host came with two huge mug of coffee which is so obvious not what we ordered. Very nice decor and has an intimate feeling. The bar has a great feel and look. Service was very good. We had the salmon gravlax and the sardine bruschetta. Very tasty although I wanted more sardines! Chicken maryland didn't have enough celeriac puree but was tasty. Duck breast was a bit overcooked but good flavours. Still to find a chef who knows how to cook medium rare meat in Perth! Dessert was disappointing. The tiramisu was a hard crunchy biscuit with runny cream although the coffee flavour was there. The pistachio panna cotta was quite rubbery, too much gelatine and we could hardly taste the pistachio. Overall nice ambience and quite romantic but a bit overpriced for what you get.
We tried this as we found it as a restaurant with gluten free options on trip advisor. The ambience is really nice with a rustic flair.The food came in small portions but was good. However, be aware of the gluten free food - the menu indicates it is gf when in fact it isn't. We ordered gf food. One of our selection was sardines and it came with bread. After we asked, they remade it with gf bread. Also, I was surprised to get a drummie when the menu says duck breast.For dessert, we wanted reassurance that the dolce salame is gf. It turned out it is made with biscuits that are not gf. Out of three indicated gf desert options on the menu, there was only the pannacotta available.
This wonderful restaurant has recently morphed into a wine bar as well and it has become a favourite of ours. We love the industrial look, the fact there is more than one dining room, and the efficient, friendly staff. Our most recent visit was for Sunday brunch, a relaxing time with delicious food and coffee, but we also had dinner there a few weeks ago which was lovely, with the chef organising a pasta dish without prawns or meat for me. Tucked away in the outdoor courtyard and away from the busy Beaufort street traffic we sat and enjoyed a long lazy lunch.The heater next to our table was very welcome and a blanket to put over the knees was also on offer. Food, wine and service were all good, although the menu restricts you to tapas and smaller dishes for lunch and the real mains only kick in at 5:30pm. Just a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Overall worth a visit.
I didn't come for dinner I came for a tapas lunch. This please is nice to sit and relax with a prosecco or negroni and have some light eats. A real delight, on an Autumn afternoon. Highly recommend even just for.a coffee and their signature dish of Mascarpone filled donuts with chocolate.
Have been to Cecchi's for dinner on several occasions and have found the food and service to be delightful. Cecchi's is a bit on the pricey side but is worth it in my opinion. A major negative for me was that my girlfriend couldn't keep her eyes of our charming Italian waiter....
Service was great but food was disappointing. Lamb cutlets stood out. Octopus was overcooked and burnt and one piece for the price! Spaghetti was ok. Doughnuts were good but cheese board was a joke , so minimal and basic for a ridiculous price. Wouldn't go back for a meal. Réservez une table maintenant
We've been frequenting this restaurant since it first opened and it really does just get better and better. Had a lovely meal for two this evening and, as always, the service was great, the food beautiful and the surroundings very chic. Thank Kyle, we'll keep coming back.
