I used to regard this restaurant as a fantastic option for tasty Tex-Mex cuisine in the neighborhood, but my latest experience was quite disappointing. The tacos had little to no flavor, and I noticed that the portion sizes had decreased while the prices had gone up unexpectedly. To top it all off, there was no air conditioning on a sweltering day, and the front doors were left wide open, letting flies invade our meal. Although they do offer complimentary chips and salsa, those were far more enjoyable than the main dishes. I’m excited to share my discovery of a wonderful little Mexican restaurant that offers creative and tasty dishes! I ordered a vegetable platter featuring beans, rice, grilled mushrooms, and grilled sweet potatoes, paired with salad, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. My husband tried the carnitas burrito, which he quickly finished. The guacamole and salsa were superb, and the salsa had a delightful kick that we really enjoyed. On my last visit, I also had the Mahi Mahi tacos, which were fantastic. They also have a good selection of beer and wine.
I ordered a chili verde burrito, and I have to say that while the customer service was excellent—very friendly and polite—the burrito itself was a letdown. The meat was quite bland and had a texture that reminded me more of roast beef than the tender pork I usually look for in a chili verde burrito. Additionally, the chili verde sauce seemed watered down. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this dish.
The chips were light, hot, and crispy. The fish tacos featured a wonderfully thin batter that was fried to perfection, complementing the fish beautifully. The Chimichanga was also fried evenly, with a perfectly crispy tortilla that was well-drained, so it wasn't overly greasy. Ordered a chili Verde burrito. The customer service was great, extremely nice and courteous. However the burrito was so bland. Meat was tasteless. The texture of the meat was more like roast beef also, instead of the traditional tezturw of pork I expect in a chili verde burrito. The chili verde sauce even tasted watered down essentially. Would not recommend.
Great Mexican food. Absolutely the best mixed fajitas of any restaurant I've tried near Oceanside. For many years, they were the cheapest fajitas too. It's a small place with walk-up/counter ordering. Parking is generally pretty easy as well. Great service too.
Had the chicken tortilla soup. Very tasty and good portion for the money. Nicely prepared in a flavorful broth containing large chunks of tender chicken and vegetables. I especially like the chunks of avocado. Nice touch. Friendly service as well.

The food here is delicious and reasonably priced! This restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine in a newly built upscale shopping center. You place your order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I highly recommend this place!
Great place for mexican food. The owner is super nice and attentive. Ordered the quesabirria tacos, so good and jucy. Highly recommend!
