I passed by this little cafe on my way towards two of the parks in the area. As I peeked inside the door I saw some amazing cookies and pastries in the display case. I made a mental note of the location and on my...return journey made it a point to stop inside. Wow, for such a small display case it was packed with cookies, cakes, pastries, fresh breads, sandwiches, salads, pasta, sauces, muesli, jams, hot/cold beverages and so much more. The pastries/cakes were in the mini or whole cake sizes. I tried the raspberry tort and a chocolate chip cookie (4.70CHF), and these were both delicious! We have been to Celine and Sebastian for 3 meals in the past 2 days! 2 lunches and one breakfast. This is incredible value for Geneva and amazing taste that keeps us coming back. The “formulas” give you a lot of choice with you meal....Formula 1 gives you 2 small sandwiches, a full sized dessert and a drink! Other options were a large tart/quiche, dessert and a drink and many more. The house made custard tart was to die for. There was one waitress who spoke English very well (I think it is her first language) and this was relieving, she was very helpful. All the staff there seem like lovely girls and happy to help even if I can’t speak French! Thank you.
Good food, good coffee, great variety and great service. My partner and I don’t speak much French but we were helped despite the cafe being busy. The food disappears after lunch so make sure you get in earlier! There are a number of different lunch...specials that get you a variety of sandwiches, quiches or salad with a drink and dessert for 10-11 CHF! Couldn’t recommend more highly. We would have gone 3 days in a row if they were open on Sundays.
Really nice sandwiches and cakes but the girls who work there are always miserable and make you feel really uncomfortable. I've decided to stop eating in there (I will take away, maybe) because 1. the space is very tight and 2. the girls put me...in a bad mood with their sullen faces and glares. Excellent endroit pour la pause de midi (surtout à emporter car bondé de monde tellement c'est bon!) , diverses formules délicieuses à moins de 10 fr tout compris, toutes plus délicieuses les unes que les autres! Bravo! Heureusement qu'il y a encore quelques endroit comme celui-ci à Genève.
Celine&Sebastien used to be better but since renovation and expansion of the shop sandwiches became little cheap. However they have the best chocolate in town and lovely chocolate cake &desserts. Value of their lunch package unbeatable.
Meal was tasty and SUPER CHEAP (by Geneva standards_. Got a large quiche, a pastry, and a drink for 9.90. Staff was friendly and they spoke very good English. Overall, a great choice located near Rue du Rhone.
I love their mini sandwiches Actually they have quite a range of excellent and if you like cakes and sweetie cakes You have hit the right place
