We've dined at Riverstone multiple times over the years and truly enjoy the picturesque setting of rolling hills. Before Christmas, I quickly grabbed a couple of 'specials' vouchers available at that time. We redeemed our first voucher today, and it did not disappoint. We had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of wines before selecting ones to accompany our shared cheese and dessert platter—just a light, snack-style lunch. We could have opted for something more substantial from the menu if we wanted, but today’s choice was just right for the post-holiday indulgence. Took my partner up to Riverstone up for her birthday in March and were blown away as soon as we drove up the driveway by the view. The best I've seen in the Yarra Valley. We were greeted with a glass of wine and a beautiful cheese and biscuit platter and sat out on the amazing deck staring out into the view. It was perfect. The team at Riverstone are great. Friendly, warm and accomodating and I would recommend anyone wanting a day out in the Yarra Valley popping into Riverstone for a glass of grape and a squiz at the view.
It was ok. Lovely setting on a beautiful afternoon. Friendly staff and the wines are not bad but too expensive. Luckily we were there with a voucher because as others have said, it's rather bland food and the rosti was nigh on raw so tasted bad (though it looked lovely and brown). The signature Mousse is worth having though, but yeah the icecream served with it was ordinary. My friend's lemon tart was inedible. Too bad. It took a lot of driving to get there but probably it's a oncer.
Great overall experience. We were a group of 6 adults and four toddlers/infants. Despite being on a voucher the staff looked after us sensationally. The food was delicious, the wine tasting informative and very good quality and the staff were perfect hosts. The view from the balcony is lovely as well. We are certainly looking forward to coming back and will add it to our list of reliable Yarra Valley wineries to bring interstate guests or just when we feel like a nice day out! Even though we attended this lovely beautiful winery with a voucher the staff did not treat us any different! They went above and beyond a wonderful service top notch restaurant! The food were divine and totally delicious! And the view is stunning! The wines were a good drop that I even got a few bottles! Definitely worth coming here!
Beautiful lunch here at River Stone Estate. Not a wide ranging menu but all dishes were cooked well and very tasty. Highlights include the Veal Gnocchi and Passionfruit Pannacotta. Scenery of the Yarra Valley was spectacular too. Service was prompt and would definitely return!
