Really the very best Gorgonzola Risotto ai funghi porcini ever, even without the fillet! But it makes it worth more with it ... And don 't miss a salad before, with home made tasty red wine vinegar. And ask for the Special Maggia Valley bread... But...also the home made Ravioli con Salvia are delicious! The owner Silvia has teached her Crew real good she 's started some 45 years ago with her father. And against all odds: it is really worth to pay the prices! The Restaurant always remains us to the Eagles ' Album 'Hotel California ' just because of the palm trees besides makes it even more sympathetic! I have been coming here for over ten years, at least once a year, and have a real affection for this pricey but wonderful restaurant. Usually traditional means boring and unbelievably heavy, but here, the salad is crisp and tangy and the risotto is almost...always amazing. We usually have the .ticinese wine, and lamb or filet after. The menu is simple, the basic concept of the dishes is simple, but it is GOOD. Plus, the drive is beautiful, easy parking, and the terrace or dining halls are quietly beautiful. Reservations almost always needed. PS several times driving through the valley I have seen Sylvia, the proprietor, walking to work with a huge basket or bouquet of fresh herbs on her arm.

Whenever you go to this restaurant you will be served delicious food. I consider the risotto and the ravioli as must orders when visiting this restaurant. The servings are also good portions. This restaurant has been successful and well visited for many years also by...many many tourists , but they keep up their standards which is great. Make sure to reserve a table since it is very well visited. The interior as well as exterior of the restaurant are very nice. The reason for not giving 5 Stars is that the service offered sometimes suffers due to the service personnel having too much on their hands.

This is a fantastic place with heartwarming people and service and the best risotto in Switzerland. Due to weather conditions we had to sit inside. Terrace is preferrable for your experience although indoor was really comfy, too. We also had a lamb meal (excellent...quality! which the two of us shared. When they noticed that they added another slice for us free of charge. Really one of my all time favourites.
