The entire team at Central Continental Bakery deserves praise, starting with Stacey, who is incredibly patient. Chris, the cake decorator, creates stunning rose designs that look like works of art. They truly go the extra mile to assist you; Briana and Rachel even helped me load the cake into my car, making sure it was secure for the long drive from Mt. Prospect to Vernon Hills. Stacey suggested the strawberry Bavarian filling, which was absolutely perfect. The cake sliced beautifully and was the highlight of the shower. Thank you all for your excellent service! P.S. Dude. There are a lot of places in the Mount Prospect area where you can grab a run of the mill baked good. There are two Mariano's within driving distance. What CCB offers that other bakery's don't is flavor. I bought a carrot cake the other week and you can actually taste the spices. Most places make the frosting so sweet that it overpowers the rest of the ingredients. I had a chocolate torte that I was expecting to be very sweet and was pleasantly surprised when it was well balanced. They made me a customer. Now if they'd only start offering some vegan options....
We’ve been ordering cakes from Central Continental Bakery since our son turned one, and each time I share an idea with them, they truly deliver! I love how they take my vision and put in the effort to bring it to life as closely as possible. They never let us down. The cakes are not only beautiful to look at but also incredibly delicious.
They always have great Bakery treats, have been going there for years. Just recently on Fat Tuesday I ordered 2 king cakes last minute, the staff was very helpful and the cakes were so fresh everyone at the party loves it. The only thing we were disappointed that baby was outside of cake.

Central Continental Bakery is a must-visit if you’re in the north Chicago suburbs. I wanted to try everything on the menu because their baked goods are truly outstanding. I’m already planning my second visit. Honestly, the cheese coffee cake I had was the best I’ve ever tasted.
Family has been going here for over 30 years, everything single thing we have gotten from here has been great; the Easter selections are amazing. Recently had them recreate my parents' wedding cake for their 50th wedding anniversary, looked and tasted outstanding.
CCB consistently produces excellent cakes, pastries, donuts, and more. It’s certainly one of the nicer local establishments in the area. While the prices tend to be on the higher side, the quality makes it worth the splurge from time to time.
Exceptional bakery. Delicious, fresh ingredients. You can literally taste how fresh everything is. It's worth the drive for me. Such an incredible bakery. I found it by chance and am so grateful!!

This is our son's favorite bakery. Always a wide selection of items to choose from. Everyone is friendly and it's pretty cheap. Best Paczkis also in this time of the year!!!!
