Centre Cafe - Réservation de table

This is one of two grill type cafes here, the other Star Grill is larger but not yet listed. Far more people in here, and with nearly 50 inside, can be a tight fit, especially for trolleys and buggies. Quite a large menu, from which I very rarely ordered no.18 (Gammon steak, peas, chips and egg and a nice touch a pineapple ring). The spaghetti boulognaise had chips and peas, which put me off, but they are flexible over all day breakfasts and serve you quickly at your table. No high chairs, but the only infant present was in full voice. Sauces on every table and the main was enough without a sweet. The breakfast of Sausage, bacon, egg, fried bread, beans, bread and butter and coffee at £6.70 was not nice to eat and not value for money. Sausages were tasteless, bacon tasted fatty, egg was hard. Beans and fried bread ok. Over priced for poor quality meat. Went to pay, staff member asked me if it was ok, I said No and explained why. He replied You no like and still charged full amount for our meal . Not even an apology, will not eat there again.

I used to eat at this cafe regularly, but recently they raised their prices. In the last few weeks, there have been multiple issues with the service - first they forgot to serve me and I had to leave, then my food was forgotten on another occasion. Today, my food was only lukewarm. Overall, the quality of this cafe has declined.

I visited Centre Cafe this morning after getting a haircut. I was greeted by two very friendly staff members. I ordered the omelette with chips and beans, and was pleasantly surprised by the great value for money and well-cooked food. I would definitely go back again. Réservez une table maintenant

We have visited this café several times and have always had a good experience. They offer takeaway options and have a large menu with all the typical café meals. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this place.

I eat in here every day nice clean cafe the food is good at a fair price. It seats 44 very tight when its full up The service is quick the food comes out just as fast. Nice staff all in all a good cafe.

A good no-nonsence get what you pay for average cafe. It's clean. Service is good. Only down side is they only take cash....no cards...which is a pain in the rear!

Great fry ups, friendly chef who recognises you and knows what you like. Plenty to choose from on the menu with a quick service. Very clean Réservez une table maintenant

Popped in to have a meal had sausage and mash fried onions nice hot very tasty good meal would go there again next time I’m in kent

Lovely cafe. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Lovely choice on menu. Toilets available. Central position in Rainham.
