I'd rate you guys higher, but we had the worst service today. My mom and I were in around 1:00 p.m. We both ordered salads and an app of portobello fries. The food was awesome, our waitress was horrible. We had to remind her of things several times. My mom asked for no cheese on her salad and to sub the dressing with something else. First the salad came out with cheese. The remake came out with incorrect dressing. We had already been waiting quite a while so we just dealt with the incorrect dressing and didn't say anything. She then asked if I wanted a refill on my drink, I said yes. No refill. Then she asked if I wanted a box for my food I said yes, one for the fries and one for the soup. S...

In town on business and went out to dinner with my colleagues (a group of 10). The people at the hostess stand appeared visibly annoyed with us just showing up; we offered to split our group and they rejected the idea. We changed our plans at the last minute and opted to dine at Centro and didn’t have time to call ahead. They were able to seat our whole group quickly. The food was incredible! I ordered the fried Brussels sprouts, ricotta gnocchi, a glass of the Barbera, and the blood orange sorbet. Our waitress was so kind, attentive, and patient with our large group.

As a pizzaholic, I am happy to say Centro has THEE best pizza on the Southside/Downtown DSM. The sauce is tasty and not spicy, the cheese is super creamy and the crust is pure perfection. Not flimsy but not too tough. They use all-natural ingredients too! The pepperoni pizza had huge pepperonis on it and the Margarita pizza was so good, I had to go back the following week for more. The staff was pleasant and quick to grab our food. Whether you sit at the restaurant or get your food to go, everyone is efficient and quick to assist.

Service (host and server) was extremely slow. Food was mediocre with the fettuccine pasta not being creamy and lacking flavor besides salt and pepper. Place was extremely loud for being someplace slightly fancier, and it wasn't even a full house. For the price, just not worth it. You can find better for cheaper. Réservez une table maintenant

Very disappointed in the food I had here tonight . Actually felt sick after leaving . Upset I choose to celebrate here and spend my money on disappointing food . Service was great and atmosphere was good.

The owners board of trustees is a joke, they are rude to their employees, and for a luxury restaurant it’s sad to hear how low the employees are paid hourly. Food is okay, not the best in Des Moines.

Excellent good, every item on the menu is given full attention and effort from the kitchen. Quality is the main theme at Centro, consistently good food.

7/13/24 Food was mediocre and took forever. But the server was excellent and handled the delay perfectly.

The fried chicken and biscuits they serve for brunch is superb.
