Today, I have decided to try out their Breakfast Menu. Their menu was categorised in sets A, B and C (very common in most Hong Kong restaurants). I went with the B (Chicken Fillet) + C (Ham Macaroni) set, as well as a Milk Oil Pig (promise it tastes better than it sounds). Authentic tasting HK style milk tea is hard to find in Brisbane but I think Cha Kee comes close to the real thing. The hot version is a must for traditionalist but on hot summer days, be sure to ask for the cold milk tea served in a glass jar sitting in a bowl of ice. This way of serving the milk tea means the drink is cold but is undiluted (as the melting ice is not going into the tea - which is the common way to serve cold milk tea here in Brissy). As for the food, there are many options here with most the the stir fry rice noodles as out family favorites. Really well cooked, authentic food! Had the hainanese chicken rice, Cha kuey teow, and seafood ho fun with egg sauce (changed up the noodles with no issue).
The chicken rice was true to its origins (S. E. Asia) and the ginger sauce had excellent balance. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. Would've liked a soup to go with it to bring it all home, though!
The Cha Kuey Teow is the darker kind with the seafood being fresh and tenderly cooked.
The Ho Fun had a decent amount of seafood (again, fresh and tender), beautifully cooked veg, and the right amount of garlic to bind it all together.
Both noodle dishes also had that seared wok taste ("wok hei") that's so defining!

Would give it a 3.8 out of 5 since the price of baked rice wasn't as compatible as how the size of it turned out. For girls it was ok but would say it was a bit too small for guys. My guy friend was like he would probably need something else to eat later at night. Taste wise, this baked rice wasn't bad at all! The eel was warm and fresh and the the rice were well cooked asian rice ???? tarayaki sauce were in right amount making it not too salty or sweet ✨we went there at 4:30pm and both ordered the baked rice with eel for $11.90 for a tea set. It was a great experience afterrall. With nice cantonese speaking waiter serving us, we both felt like we were back in Hong Kong ????????

Great staff, love their Matcha Latte and the desserts are yummy too. Wish they would offer almond milk for their coffee :)
