Terrible ripoff merchants went to get a 750ml bicardi. Price was 15.99 on the shelf as it is in most places. At tye checkout woman says $22.00. I was totally taken aback. Paid but was not given a receipt or even asked if I wanted one. Decided to check the shelf price in case I read it wrong and I was right $15.99. Went to the counter and brought it to her attention. She stared at me blankly and ignored me. The older guy turned to me and gave me a filthy look like I was the one who had done something wrong. Seems that maybe this is the new tactic in stores to rip people off and make money now times are getting hard. They didn't even say oh ok let's have a look and see, just dirty looked me ou...
To double-check, I went back to the shelf to confirm the price, which was indeed $15.99. I flagged down a staff member at the bar to bring this to her attention, but she just stared at me blankly and ignored my concerns. An older man nearby shot me a dirty look, as if I were the one in the wrong.
It feels like this might be a new tactic for stores to overcharge customers, especially now that times are tough. Instead of addressing the situation, I was met with hostility and dismissed from the store. It was a disappointing experience. My husband has always shopped there, but they clearly don’t recognize me since I don’t go often. We won’t be returning again.
In my opinion, this place isn't particularly attractive. It's a mix between a liquor store and a bar. However, the drinks are tasty and reasonably priced, the bartenders are fantastic, and the open mic nights on Thursdays are a blast. The host of these events is a talented musician himself, and he's friendly and supportive. While it may not be the most polished venue, it's a pleasant bar with great staff, a good crowd, and enjoyable music.
The staff at this place are fantastic—so friendly and welcoming! They offer a wonderful selection of both national and international drinks. It's the first liquor store I've come across that has a bar inside, which is quite nice!

Chabons liquor store is great!! Local. Close to home and the nicest people work there. Always friendly and helpful. Very convenient. Love it!!!
