I recently dined at an Indian restaurant in London that was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I was surprised by the high prices of £13 to £16 for dishes that were smaller than expected and made with cheap ingredients. The portion sizes were not reasonable, especially when compared to popular restaurants like Dishoom in central London. I spent £51.60 on two small plates, rice, curry, and two mango lassis. While the menu seemed interesting and the restaurant was colorful, the food and service were disappointing. It took a long time to be seated, and we were uncomfortably close to the table next to us. I feel that the prices at this restaurant are too high for the portion sizes. The small cobra beer costs £5 and the butter chicken is £13.50, if I remember correctly. The chicken was a bit dry. If the prices were lower, I would rate it higher considering it is marketed as street food. For a total of £20.50, you could have a luxurious dining experience with multiple courses in India, not just street food. The service was dine-in and the meal type was dinner.
This restaurant in London and the United Kingdom has the worst food quality and quantity. It feels like they are just trying to rip you off. The ambiance is very poor quality and the prices are at least three times higher than other restaurants with similar offerings. The staff are unqualified. Overall, I would not recommend this place for dinner. The price per person is £40-50. Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.
Deleted bad review. Wrote a week back, cant find it... be careful...its only a hype abt this restaurant, there are definately much better ones around. Wont be surprised if this review gets deleted. 2 star only for the waiter who was very attentive and didnt keep us waiting for long. Naan is a joke..its store bought put under a grill to make it look like one... please dont go and expect authentic taste. Food: 1 Réservez une table maintenant
Enjoyed the starters and drinks but found the main courses fairly bland. Veg curry used frozen vegetables; chicken curry sauce was tasteless. Naan not great. Lovely place to eat, and good service, but food could be better Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
