Chang Thai - Réservation de table

I was staying in Cologne for 2 weeks and wanted a quick bite at Sunday near of my hotel. I chose Thai in tripadvisor and this one came up as the 2nd choice. The first one with prices twice as high but it was a proper Restaurant. I tried the Red Curry in Coco-milk with green sweet beans, paprika thai basil and ground nuts. It was well balanced in taste between hot and other flavors so I enjoyed it. You can ask not to add flavor boosting ingredients which is a good point in the menu. Not all bars inform you they add flavor boosters.

I visited Chang Thai with an aim to grab some takeaway. The website makes a very professional and tidy impression, yet the Imbiss itself is a bit run-down. Intense smell of fried meals and oil (open kitchen) is also quite repelling. Fortunately the food makes up for it. Freshly prepared right in front of you - I had a zucchini / carrot / sweet-hot duck with rice - the veggies were perfectly cooked - still crunchy, and the duck very tasty, tender and crispy on the skin-side. All that for a very good price.

I've been there several times, alone and with friends, and I always feel like going back. The place is very simple and modest, but we feel comfortable there, as if we were really in a street reastaurant somewhere in Asia.The food is mostly fresh, the prices are good and they serve good portions. The service is usually friendly and efficient.It's not a place I would go to on a date, but it's well-suited to go with friends, family or alone, whether for lunch or for dinner.

I had my Tom Khai Gung served to me in less than 4 minutes. This would be slightly worrying if not for the fact that they prepare it in front of you - so no funny business.A meal for 2 was under 10 euros and it was packed with customers.Great place for a quick, affordable meal that is easily one of the best cheap eats in Cologne! The Chang Thai was a nice surprise. We had different meals to take and everything was really good. Not the best thai ever, but good nonetheless. Prices were really cheap and food was freshly prepared in front of our eyes. I would definitely recommand it if you are in the area in need of a cheap, quick and decent food!

Average thai- in my papaya salad there was too much lemon juice inside therefore it was too sour- my phad ped there was no mushroom in the dish whoever it was in the menu and I missed some garlic All in all the food is just average, 3 stars cause it's quite affordable

This place is in suburban area of Cologne. It's primarily a take away place but they have few tables there so you can sit and eat there. It offers self service. Food is amazing and portions are also good.

Price-quality ratio is right! very friendly staff (have always a smile in the face) that tastes just as good as in Thailand. I can only recommend it! Réservez une table maintenant

I've spent a year in Singapore so I know the original Asian/Thai taste. Chang Thai definitely delivers great authentic foo from authentic people!

Small simple restaurant, few seats, many customers. Very good food. Many different dishes to choose from.
