My daughter and her boyfriend ordered takeout from Chans tonight and found four black hairs in the food. When they contacted Chans, they were asked to send a photo of the hairs. After sending the photo, Chans requested that they bring the food back. When they returned the food, Chans accused my daughter of putting the hairs in the food, despite the fact that the hairs were dark and my daughter is blonde. Chans then yelled at my daughter, became threatening, and ultimately threw the food in the bin without offering a refund. They even threatened to call the police if my daughter and her boyfriend did not leave. I will be contacting environmental health as the hygiene standards are clearly not...
On Friday June 3rd, 2022, I ordered takeout for 4 people and selected set meal 4b from the takeout menu. I placed the order over the phone and picked it up from Brambleside at 5:00pm. Everything seemed fine upon arrival, and we paid £43.50 for our order before heading home. The food smelled delicious and looked appetizing. When we sat down to eat, we noticed that all the dishes had a similar taste from the sauces. My daughters and wife stopped eating because they were tired of the same flavors, and I also decided to stop eating. I ordered over the phone for a pick-up in half an hour. The friendly lady on the other end was speedy and helpful. When I turned up, there were lots of coronavirus safety measures in place. My food was with me five minutes later – freshly made and piping hot. When I got home, I discovered just how tasty it all was. And there was lots of it – the portions are very generous. The mushroom foo yung was superb, the lemon chicken was excellent, and the boiled rice was perfect. The prices are very good too – we’ll definitely be ordering again.
My partner and I order from Chans probably too often! We have tried every chinese in kettering at some stage and always loop back to chans. Best salt n chilli chicken going. Their curry flavouring is spot on and we have never had a mistaken order, ill prepared food or really any complaints at all. Delivery drivers are chatty and friendly and the front of house staff are polite. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it has been going since before I moved to kettering 18 years ago and has been my family go to takeaway since 2002. Réservez une table maintenant
I have used this place since it first opened, always been quite good. Haven't ordered for about a year, what awful food. Had the dinner for one, and threw it all in the bin. The worst takeaway I have ever had. Disgusting beef, or whatever it was, horrible chicken balls. Never again. You should be ashamed of yourself.
We ordered a Chinese for our dinner . We ordered from here before and everything was fine . We got food tonight we found 4 hairs and they tried saying I pulled them out of my own head why would I even do that I work and my partner works why would we do that just to get money back
