I will always 5 star a place with White Queso like I can find back in the south. Everything here was fantastic but the queso is what brought us in, the rest of our experience is what will bring us back. We had two house margaritas for Happy hour, the small is under $5 and the 27oz Large is under $10! The queso was fantastic! Creamy, cheesey, just like I remember growing up in the south. Then we split the combination plate #17. Chicken enchilada, the sauce was delicious! Chile Rellano which is one of my favorites around now, I'll be coming back for that specifically. As well as a soft taco! Great service! We can't wait to be back!
The Birria tacos are a must! They are packed full of meat and cheesy goodness and the consommé is the perfect blend of savory and spicy. The potion sizes are huge for the price. The beans are salty and full of flavor. The rice was a little chewy for mytastes, but had the veggie and flavor one would expect. Next time I would likely ask for double beans and no rice. My sistergot a lava flow and really enjoyed it. We are adding this to our list of go to spots. Absolutely delicious and worth the drive!
I don't know if its because I ordered delivery that quality of my food wasn't important today but the cook working the grill responsible for putting this overcooked chicken and burnt steak in $30 meal should be ashamed om themselves as well as the expo. Ok I was on a search for some white queso like they used to serve in the south, and I found it with Chapala. It's exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the Chicken Cheese and Rice like back home and let's just say they didn't skimp. My new favorite Mexican restaurant here in Denver. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I had such a lovely time at Chapala. Definitely get their 27oz margarita. You'll be leaving happier than you have been for the entire week. The shredded beef sopapilla is quite a nice pair. It was soooo good. My husband enjoyed his quesa birria tacos Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

This place is a Lakewood gem, and some of the best Mexican food available. The quesabirria tacos were Devine, fish tacos were excellently seasoned, and the service we superb. I highly recommend checking this place out!
