Chapultepec Mexican Bar Restaurant

Stopped by on the 4th of July as I was having a birria taco craving. When you enter, seating is to the right although the entrance would make you think you've arrived at a takeout restaurant! We were assisted and seated and immediately ordered birria tacos and sodas. After about 2-3 minutes or so, the waitress returned to the table and informed us that birria was not an option and that it is offered on the weekend only. Whew! A bummer. The waitress offered recommendations from the menu as I'm sure she understood the disappointment which was super nice! We had an assortment of the chicken and steak hard shell tacos which appeared to be authentic Mexican tacos but did not satisfy my taste buds. They seem to have entertainment in the establishment at some point as there is a space setup. There is a parking lot with plenty parking available at no charge. And the waitress do their best with speaking English to ensure good service as English is not their first language.

Hands down one of the best Taco spots I've had in all of Florida. On the weekends they set up shop outside of the restaurant and make the tacos to order right in front of you, just like they do in Mexico. I eat here every single chance I get and get a bunch of different tacos from each time and stuff my face. The staff is always friendly and they are open late on the days they set up shop outside. There's typically a line but trust me it's more than worth it. They have a range of sauces available and they do not hold back when you ask. I have searched yelp and visited dozens of tacos spots from south Miami to Fort Lauderdale. This place blows all of them out of the water. Of course everyone has their preferences but I can say with confidence that you will not be disappointed.

We selected this place because the Hallandale Office of Tourism recommended it, and it was conveniently located near the place we stayed at. We were sorely disappointed. The mole enchiladas were served uncooked/cold, the huaraches were served on a tortilla thin masa base, and the michelada tasted like it had been watered down.

Friendly folks , fast service , alright food , I had birria tacos looked good tasted good but sogginess where the queso cheese wasn't fried enough ,, margaritas.... YES !!!!.... Wonderfully decorated place it is very authentic I even picked up my tamarind Lolly pops on the way out .... From 1-10 I give a 8

The place is very good for a Mexican spot but what bothers me is that they have these tacos de birria but you can 't order through door dash which is a shame cuz that 's my favorite thing to eat from this restaurant.
