Charles Dickens Pub

Travelling on a holiday weekend, we weren't sure if we would find a decent place to eat "on the road". This is just a short distance off of the 401 highway and well worth the stop. The atmosphere is very much that of an English pub. And, the menu had some great selections. Not wanting to eat a full dinner, we ordered the fish and chips. It was fantastic. (Of course, it was so much more than we expected, but certainly no complaints!) Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert, but we enjoyed the food so much it didn't seem to matter. We would not hesitate to eat here again if passing in this direction. (There was also a full bar.)

I was absolutely surprised to see a server with her 20 year old grown greasy hair flapping everywhere and to boot wearing old fip flops as a server....I understand you guys get good business but don't let it sink like all the other woodstock locals. ....this is not only a health and safety risk but it goes against all other standard acts... .terrible. ..I've been a sever for 20+ years and never have I seen such a disgrace before....common ......care ppl care ppl are watching.....

If you want good pub food this is the place to go. Meat pies are delicious and so is the beef stuffed Yorkie.Service is good.Went on a Saturday was very loud, which we took as a good sign, lots of people, meant the food was good.

For Woodstock this place isn't bad. The waitresses are friendly and the food is okay. I recommend wing night on Wednesday for the great price and good sauce selection. Réservez une table maintenant

Yep, it's a pub. With a cool bar and lots of UK drafts ... that you can get in any LCBO. Small place that can be a great place with lots of your friends. Sláinte!

I am very fond of English Pubs and The Charles Dickens Pub was better than typical and generally a very good spot to enjoy Pub fare and drinks.

The service was very friendly. The food was good but the company was even better. Friendly joyful atmosphere. Would go here again.
