Charlie Gitto's - Réservation de table

Our reservation at 8 pm was ready at 7:55 pm, on time. The restaurant was very busy at 8pm on a Sunday evening, especially since it closed at 9pm. The server was very personable and hustled with prompt service. She had a large table of 12 going on in the private dining room near our table and two other tables who were finishing up. The food was delicious. It was temperature hot, and they were generous portions. I had the Rigatoni with spicy Italian sausage and olive oil with some Bolognese sauce. It was mild to moderate spicy and temperature hot. IMO, it was perfect. My fiancee had the Fettuccini Alfred. She said her's was slightly peppery which she personally enjoyed. Waitress asked both of us if we wanted our salads brought out first. Neither of us ordered salads and they weren't part of our meal. My wife said yes, and got a salad she was charged for. I asked, is salad part of the meal, she said no so I said then I don't have a salad. We both ordered our meal and asked if we wanted any side dish with our meal. I asked what comes with our meal, waitress said nothing, so my wife ordered asparagus and I ordered broccoli. The meal came and each meal came with potatoes and veggies in addition to the asparagus and broccoli we ordered and had to pay for. So the waitress either baited and switched us or she was clueless. Either way it was crappy service.

My friend and I had an enjoyable dining experience at Charlie Gitto's. I ordered the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing. The lettuce is cold and crisp with chopped tomatoes and bacon. My entree was the lasagna, best in town in my opinion. Red and white sauces over a full serving of a combination of meat cheese. All served with fresh baked Italian bread. The servers are friendly and attentive.

The food was amazing, we shared dishes around the table for a true family dining experience. The Sea Bass was phenomenal. The restaurant was accommodating to our children, and made them feel welcome. A very well curated wine menu. Our wait staff was amazing, she was timely with drinks and dishes, knowledgeable about the menu and elevated the entire dining experience. First time dining before a concert so we only had salads and apps. My wife loved the Italian chopped salad. My Caesar salad was good but small. The Signature shrimp app was good but pricey (3 shrimp for $22). The toasted ravs were a big disappointment. Imo's are much better. Noise level was loud. Service was adequate.

The Head Hostess was less than accommodating! I ask if it was possible to leave our left overs at the reception desk until we finished gaming which was simply a Small box of Pizza which I had done in the Past! She defiantly refused. She said that was against policy.

Seated immediately. Waitress was pleasant attentive. Food was beyond excellent. Drinks were delicious. They had swordfish tonight it was the best I've ever had I happen to love swordfish was pleasantly surprised that it was a special tonight. Excellent food service.

Food was not as good as the original Gitto's. It was good, just not outstanding for the price. (I don't care about cost when food is really good. The server, CC was incredible! We had a grouo of 12 and she handled it like a champ! Réservez une table maintenant

Each trip to St Louis we stop and eat at Charlie's Gittos. We usually have an excellent meal but not this time. My fillet was dry, and the vegetables were not up to standard. Kinda disappointed.

Daily fish special are great. Hostess Christine is wonderful. Server Matt is amazing. New server Melissa does a great job. Enjoy having Manager Christopher taking time to say hello.
