The only reason I'm giving stars not is the fact that one of the waitresses had her mask round her chin for most of the time we were there and took payment without covering her nose and mouth. OK, masks are not mandatory...but when her colleagues were wearing them I think she should have been too. Or at least take it off altogether so that customers can chose if they want to be near her. The waitress who served us was very pleasant and efficient and the food was very good. Tables were being cleaned between customers and everywhere looked very clean. Also good air flow, so Covid measures being met. Would eat there again but avoid said waitress!

We are regulars and cannot fault the food but the service is very poor. Apart from our initial interaction with the server, to take our drinks and food order, we had to attract someone’s attention several times to order desserts or extra drinks. Surely someone...should be doing regular ‘follow ups’ to check if we needed more drinks, desserts or if everything was ok. Several other tables had people waiting a good fifteen minutes for first course dishes to be removed. Things need to be better organised and more care taken to make sure customers are happy. Very disappointing.

We booked a table on Sunday for five adults and two children at When we arrived shown straight to our table by Megan our server who took orders for drinks and left us with the Sunday Lunch and other menu. We all ordered...the Sunday lunch some ordered a large one. The portions when they all arrived were generous and then they brought us loads of freshly cooked vegetables as well. I must say the service and the food is the best we have all had anywhere for a long time. Nothing was too much trouble and we all felt very welcomed.

Thanks to Danny and Hannah.. we have had to most amazing afternoon!! They are so welcoming and friendly.. the service was star!! They even let us charge our phones .. which was a life saver .. as we are camping !! This place is...full of history which was explained to us by the amazing staff!! It’s utterly beautiful.. with grapevines and trees .. dating back years!! Thanks again Hannah and Danny!! Hopefully see you soon! Love Catherine and Deano x

We ate under the vine in the Glasshouse. The meal was gorgeous, delicious mussels and steak cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend wholeheartedly. X
