Charnwood Cafe - Réserver une table

Making really GREAT scones is more than an art. One either has the gift and the instinct required for the truly superb scone or they do not. At Charnwood they are naturals. Add to this the presentation with whipped cream that also has a clotted cream texture and a good quality jam one ends up with a very pleasurable experience indeed. If this simple fare is that extraordinarily superb - what must their other fare taste like? Recommended stop over whenever you are in Lakes Entrance

Stopped in for brunch, beautiful setting with a lovely view. Gorgeous tables wirh soft music playing. Then came our meal, it was a generous serving with a great coffee. My husband had the big breakfast, it was huge and he was very happy with it. I had the eggs, avocado and smoked salmon, would reccommend this meal. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Definitely will be back. Wanting to try the scones or the passion fruit sponge.

We arrived at around 10.30 and waited 40 minutes from ordering to the arrival of our coffees and scones. When they finally made it to the table, they were good but I wouldn't go back based on that wait. The place wasn't overly busy.

A bit of a step back in time this café cum antique shop is worth a visit. A limited menu but morning tea with fresh scones is very good quality and value.

I have become a regular here because of the breakfast and coffee. I quite often drop in for tea and scones which are made on the premises
