Chat 19 American Grill

This place could be great with better staff. I arrived for an early brunch at 10:40am (as per their schedule they open at 10) we were instantly told by a waitress to wait 15 minutes as they were not ready. NP we went and waited in our car. A minute later we see that 2 women went in and were seated. I went in and asked why we had been told to wait but not the others. A rude waiter began yelling an answer though I was speaking to the manager. This was before noticing my partner who was behind me (and twice his size). Recently ate at Chat 19, and the experience was awful.... for appetizer I order the fried calamari which came out in a puddle of grease and made me feel completely sick then our main course came out, I felt so sick from the fried calamari that I barely touched my main course and through all of this our server didn't check on us once... then we waited over 20 minutes for our server to come back to give us our check even when I complained about the greasy calamari she did nothing but offer a free desert but I still felt sick. I left feeling sick and robbed this is the worst meals I've ever had!

family of four and were pleasantly surprised how cheap it was after a few days in new york city. couple starters to share and three burgers with a baby rack of ripening. the entire ordered meat was perfectly and very delicately cooked. the riders we had were extremely thin and the best we had since the arrival. the cocktails were also beautiful. we found that in the city they were much stronger than we used to, but this was more our normal level. the cantaloupe was incredible! even with good service it seemed as if they were a bit tightly occupied.

Great location. To grab a bite In Larchmont. Easy parking in the lot next to the drug store. Food menu is extensive which can be great. Quality of fish was not excellent- don't recommend the tuna sandwich. Salads were good/ the crisp apple and peach grilled were okay. Not for the price, but edible. Recommend the turkey sandwich. Service was okay. Our table server was excellent. Two different hosts were less than helpful and could care less we were there. All to say- we won't be back unless Larchmont tavern is closed again. Came here with a reservation and despite being the only party they’d till made us wait 20 minutes for a table. Ribs were charred, salad was drowning in dressing. Took 20 MINUTES for a cup of COFFEE! And when it arrived it was full of grounds. Why does this place fail at such simple things? And the staff definitely couldn’t have cared less

visit was ok eating was really good, but drinks, service and waiting times another story. they understand, they tried limited personal drinks were not existential extremely slow and ok to say the least. server disappeared for one because and others had blinder.

juan is an absolute pleasure. he is about hospitable, friendly and always ready to go the extra mile. I appreciate his kind gestures very much. 19 nyc hospitality experience I can say juan gets a 10 stars!

Rude staff ripe for a Gordon Ramsay episode. Close it down. Go somewhere else. Worst service in the area and an unapologetic staff. Do yourself a favor and hit up McDonalds Réservez une table maintenant

Always have a nice experience when we visit chat 19, good menu and full bar bar. Great service, nice ambience. Highly reccomend. Great for a date night or a family dinner
