Mon mari et moi avons séjourné au Château des Salles pendant quelques nuits. Sylvie était une hôte merveilleuse, veillant à ce que nous ayons toutes les boissons et la nourriture dont nous avions besoin. Nous avons dîné au Château les deux soirées et avons dégusté de très bons plats, en choisissant même le fromage supplémentaire à chaque fois. La chambre était spacieuse et aérée, avec un très grand lit confortable. L'espace piscine était également agréable et relaxant avec le son du bambou. Nous n'hésiterions pas à recommander le Château des Salles à ceux qui recherchent des vacances relaxantes où l'on peut vraiment se détendre. Chambres : 4 Service : 5 Emplacement : 5
We have had dinner here many times, whenever we come to the area on holiday. The menu is always delightful and different; the chef very good; usually two starters, two plats and two desserts to choose from. Reasonable price for an elegant dinner in a Chateau. The Chateau is 15th century but much of it restored by the owners, Sylvia and Jean-Jacques. It has been in the family since the 1990s. They are a lovely couple, very helpful and friendly. Saint Fort is a small village halfway between La Rochelle and Bordeaux, surrounded by vineyards and not far from a small port. Highly recommended. Service: 5 Location: 5
The hotel is located in a castle. It is a beautiful, authentic castle. The owners have preserved the character of the castle but also provided the necessary comfort. The hostess and host are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel 100% welcome. A swimming pool has also recently been installed, great for cooling off. In the evening there is the possibility to dine on site, which was nice.
If you want to spend quality time, this is the ideal place. A hostess full of delicacy in a friendly, tasteful setting like the table or the simplicity of the original dishes are most appreciable.
