The interior is pretty worn out and dated it looks like someone tried to do it up as a nice restaurant at some point in the late nineties and hasn 't really bothered to update it since, and the bathroom was particularly depressing looking but the food is really way above par for a kind of divey local spot. The menu was reasonably priced, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. The bar and seating area had a rustic charm and felt very cozy. What a find! I was looking for a place near the MacHayden theater and read the reviews and decided to go. As the reviews said, the exterior of the place is nothing special but the food and service are excellent. The bread was warm with soft butter. 3 of us had the Pork Saltimbocca and another did the Pork Chop all delicious. We had 3 different deserts and all we perfect. The service was a cut above. The timing was perfect. They came over at just the right times for any requests. The staff really cared to put out the best product. We will definately be going back to this jem.
My wife and I eat here occasionally and usually the food was OK. We ate here recently and will not return. I had the surf and turf Fajitas and my wife had the brick chicken. The steak in the Fajitas was absolutely disgusting. It was total fat andgrizzle so bad I was unable to eat any of the steak. My wife had the brick chicken in the past and it used to be a 1/2 chicken. Now it's basically just a chicken breast and it was over cooked. I feel like we threw away $60.00. You guys need to dobetter.

I appreciated that the atmosphere was not too loud inside the restaurant. The menu featured a variety of comforting food options. Our group ordered a hamburger, chicken wings, meatloaf, and fish tacos. There was a nice selection of craft beer and wine available. The total bill, including tip, came to about $130.

Food was good, all made on the premises. Fish and chips were delicious. The Caesar salad was good although perhaps with more anchovy than expected. The special appetizer of Brussel Crisps was tasty, but very oily. The other food we ordered was fine.
Great salads, reasonable prices. We?ve been here before and had really good burgers. A solid lunch and dinner spot.
