Doesnt open till 10.30am during the week which is a shame for anyone keen for a bubble tea in the morning, where almost every other outlet is open well before then. Milk teas are decent. I usually get a vanilla or taro milk tea with black tapioca pearls. Note: make sure you ask for no to little ice as they tend to fill the cups with it, getting little actual product. Lastly bring cash as there is a minimum efpos of $10, unless you plan on shouting for a mate.
ZenQ and Chatime shares the same parent company. Recommended drink from Chatime: roasted milk tea (warm) or roasted milk tea with herbal jelly (cold). Hubby usually orders the mango chiller without any topping as it tasted better by itself. ZenQ provides the Taiwanese style dessert, but it tastes dull. It doesn't taste as good as ZenQ in Malaysia. Looking forward for ZenQ to expand their dessert range, just like ZenQ in Sydney.
Chatime is one of several outlets now selling bubble tea in Perth. Bubble tea has really taken off in a big way – you get to choose green or black tea, milk or non-milk, fruit options and then jelly or popping pearls to add another dimension of flavour. The combinations are endless. The tea is then sealed in the contained and you pop your straw in and suck up the jelly pieces with the drink.
I prefer presotea over chatime but I chatime opens later so I come here most the time. The oolong milk tea is my favourite but I'm rating based on the fact they always run out of pearls and bubble tea is not a bubble tea without pearls. The service is always pretty good too, could be better but I have never had a rude server. Réservez une table maintenant
Their milk tea (whether it's Brown rice, oolong, premium or jasmine) tastes weak and overly milky. It's like milk with a hint of tea. Have given this place numerous opportunities (due to a lack of options prior to PresoTea), and they've kept to the same standard of weak milky teas. At least they are consistent?
If you 're a fan of chewing ice cubes, this is probably your place to be. For $5.50 I was offered a pearl tea drink, half of which was filled with ice cubes. When asked to take the ice cubes off, I was told it would 'damage the recipe '.
This was the first time I've tried bubble tea (given I'm not a tea person), and I can say it was not bad! I got the new Oreo flavoured one which was pretty tasty. Worth a try if you're in the area.
