Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and engaging host who took the time to chat with us. We ordered Chicken Pakora for starters, which was juicy and flavorful, with a delicious accompanying sauce. For mains, we enjoyed Chicken Karachi, Lamb Passanda, and Lamb Masala. The lamb dishes were cooked perfectly, showcasing the high quality and skills of the chefs. Our family had a wonderful time and have already recommended this fantastic Indian restaurant to friends.
When we finally got our food, the portion sizes were generous and the presentation was nice. However, the tandoori chicken was undercooked and pink. The Bombay aloo was unusual, with what seemed like scrambled egg in it, but surprisingly tasty. The naan breads were large and delicious, but the bag was greasy. Overall, I have had better Indian food before. I am hesitant to return due to the undercooked chicken, which was disappointing and potentially dangerous.
We ordered a takeaway meal for 2, something we do every month or so. It is always amazingly good with very interesting dishes, quite different to what is available at other Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in the area. It is unquestionably the best for miles around. I cannot recommend Chatni too highly, for the quality of the food and the helpfulness and courtesy of the manager and staff.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal on Sunday 24th September. My partner had vegetable masala and I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken tandoori on the bone. Our starters were equally amazing (vegetable pakora and chicken puri). Wonderful service with great attention to detail. Highly recommended! Réservez une table maintenant
