Visited because I wanted to see what it was like after the refit and have visited The Elms Hotel which is part of the same collection, The Elms is a lovely hotel so had high hopes for this place. Easy to park at the side of the place. It's very quirky inside with different rooms of various sizes off the main room. There's loads of items on the sides of the place, it's not that clear if these are for sale or just for show. Coffee is expensive at £4 and it's not particularly a large cup in comparison to lots of other places. I had been recommended to try out this restaurant several times but just hadn't had the chance to do so. We finally went for a family member's birthday breakfast and from the moment we called to make a reservation to the moment we left, the team was fantastic. They were accommodating in taking our reservation and gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. They also thoughtfully placed our table, knowing we had children with us, to ensure we had plenty of space. The restaurant is cozy with a view into the kitchen, which I always appreciate as it shows they take pride in their cooking. I drive past Checketts everyday on my way to work but have never stopped in before today. With the cold weather I thought I’d grab a hot cup of coffee and a Sausage and bacon bap to take to work with me. The staff were excellent and the actual restaurant was clean and very well presented. Special thanks to Milly for offering me a extra sausage for my dog! I got back to my truck and started eating… I could have wept. Everything about it was amazing even the sauce! For the price, I was very impressed and I can’t wait to go back! Long live Checketts!
I met a friend for breakfast today at Checketts, a restaurant recommended by my friend who is local to Ombersley. I hadn't been to Checketts since it was a Deli, but it has now been transformed into a charming dining area with a variety of local produce and homeware to admire. The food was fantastic, with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans, and the staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. My friend even brought her dog along, who was treated to a puppucino. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I will definitely be returning!

Impromptu late lunch here last week after being recommended by my parents who pop in here whenever passing through the village. What a fabulous, quirky place! Food was spot on, I had the chicken Kiev pizza cooked in a real pizza oven! My partner the tandoori skewers and both meals were stunning! The food being served to other tables all looked delicious and can’t wait to go back to try more. Excellent service from cheerful and attentive staff. We found some treats to take home with us and I bought my secret Santa gift! Winner!
This restaurant has the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. My second visit was just as bad as the first. The staff seemed more interested in polishing bottles than serving the customers. We had to wait over half an hour just to be acknowledged, only to be told they were out of coke, diet coke, and pizza. We ended up giving up and going home.
We used the air bNb at Checketts, Beth was absolutely fantastic and the apartment was a real home from home, so clean, tidy and very welcoming. Dog friendly. The restaurant downstairs was just amazing we love it here and will be booking again for next Christmas. Thank you Beth and the team.
Love it here we go away every time and recommend to friends a family. Food always great. Tried the wine today, recommended by a very enthusiastic female member of staff and went away with a bottle. Keep up the hard work!

Best brunch in Worcestershire if not the Midlands. We really love the coffee, menu is good for gluten-free (Skillet eggs my new fave) and staff are funny and genuinely care. A rare jewel in Ombersley
