Chef Melbaâs Bistro is a hidden gem in Hermosa Beach. Weâve been coming here for about years every time we are in the Los Angeles area, and have an exceptional experience each time. The menu changes frequently and there are always amazing daily specials. Chef Melba doesnât just âcookâ her dishes are a carefully crafted expression of her life, her experiences, and her passion. Highly recommended and definitely worth the trip.
The restaurant business has suffered some of the worst years in history. Yet, Chef Melba and her equally excellent dining room manager, John, never disappoint. Menu and service are among the very best in the South Bay. Melba confides she nearly shut down during the Pandemic. Then, lack of qualified help was a nightmare. Now, inflation and Putin's war is taking yet another toll. We urge you to support one our community's very best.
Another amazing meal at Chef Melba's. The waiter, John, recommended the special whole snapper. He said it was delicious and I would love it. He was right! The presentation was perfect. I peeled the meat away and dipped it in this amazing sauce! Oh my. So good. Melba says she is retiring soon. So go there and experience amazing food and ambiance. Now. Go!
This place is amazing. Started with Buratta and finished with the creme brulle and chocolate mousse. Both fantastic. My wife had the snapper and I had the king salmon. Perfection. the chef is very talented. my man had the best fish and chips of all time. I had couliflowers and garnel, which were also unforgettable. I enjoyed the Italian songs that were played when we were there and it was a very nice experience, especially considering that we could bring our favorite wine without a cork charge.
I have reviewed Chef Melba's Bistro before and it's among the best restaurants I've ever had the opportunity to enjoy. I drive about minutes from Beverly Hills to dine there and each guest I have brought with me also raves about the food. It's a can't miss place for an outstanding meal.
Chef Melba always delivers a great meal. I had the special Salmon with Scallops, Gnooci and a tomatoes that was flavorful and delicious. The beef Stroganoff was the best I've had as well. The red wine came thru along with the layered seasonings! My favorite restaurant in LA..
